Les Forestivités is two weeks of activities, tours, meetings, and workshops dedicated to the theme of forests and wood.
Open to all, the festival invites the residents of Savoie to connect with the forestry world and discover the world of local wood!
The goal of “(re)connecting forests and wood” is at the heart of the festival. This common thread provides answers to various questions: why do we cut down trees? Where does the wood used daily for construction or heating come from? How does sustainable forest management and the processing of locally harvested wood work?
The challenge of Les Forestivités is to open up this sometimes complex world to as many people as possible, but also to provide insights to better understand it!
The festival will be held in UGINE on the evening of October 24 and in BEAUFORT on the morning of October 26.
